St. Mark is hosting a “Smarter Parents, Safer Kids” workshop on Thursday, May 29, starting at 5:30pm in the Fellowship Room. The workshop, presented by Centre Safe and Centre County Youth Service Bureau, is a two-hour program for parents, guardians, and anyone who works with children under 18. You will learn about building better communication with your youth and talk to them about sexual and personal boundaries; new skills and techniques to prevent child sexual abuse such as vetting babysitters, safety planning, and more; and how to address suspicions and disclosures of sexual abuse. 

This is a free workshop and food will be included. Registration is required.
